Behavioral Health Services

Community Assistance Council provides trauma‑informed behavioral health services that support individuals and families experiencing emotional, behavioral, and life challenges. Our approach blends licensed clinical therapy with community‑based peer support, ensuring people receive both professional care and real‑world guidance from trusted, relatable professionals.

We believe healing happens not only in sessions — but in homes, communities, relationships, and daily life.

What We Offer

Individual Therapy

Licensed therapists provide evidence‑based counseling for:

  • Anxiety and depression

  • Trauma and stress

  • Substance use and recovery

  • Life transitions and emotional challenges

Services include assessments, personalized treatment plans, and ongoing therapeutic support.

Group Therapy

Structured group sessions that build connection, shared learning, and healing. Focus areas include:

  • Emotional regulation

  • Trauma recovery

  • Substance use support

  • Life skills development

Peer Support Services

Peer Support Specialists use their lived experience to offer:

  • One‑on‑one mentoring

  • Recovery and wellness support

  • Goal setting and accountability

  • Navigation of community resources

Peer support helps individuals stay engaged, build confidence, and maintain progress outside of therapy.

Community Psychiatric Support Treatment (CPST)

Intensive, community‑based support for individuals needing additional help managing mental health challenges. Services may include:

  • Daily living skill‑building

  • Emotional and behavioral support

  • Crisis prevention

  • Care coordination with providers and family systems

Psychosocial Rehabilitation

Skill‑building services that support independent, successful living. Focus areas include:

  • Communication and social skills

  • Problem‑solving and decision‑making

  • Employment readiness

  • Independent living skills

Behavioral Health Outreach

We meet individuals and families where they are physically, emotionally, and socially to connect them with care and reduce barriers to accessing services.

Our Approach

All services are grounded in trauma‑informed, culturally responsive care using evidence‑based practices such as:

  • Trauma‑Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF‑CBT)

  • Motivational Interviewing

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Strengths‑based and solution‑focused approaches

We prioritize safety, trust, collaboration, empowerment, and cultural awareness.

Integrated Care Model

Our team‑based model includes:

  • Licensed therapists

  • Peer Support Specialists

  • Community partners

This ensures continuous, coordinated care across clinical and community settings.

Payment & Coverage

Many services are covered by Medicaid and select private insurance plans. Coverage may include:
